Why are giant pandas 
they black and white?

No-one really knows this answer but some scientist think that
it’s for protection, so hunters or big animals don’t spot them. Others say that there coat is for
them  to stand out, so it is easier for the pandas to spot another for mating 
reasons.(Giant pandas have bad eyesight.)
 

Why do they eat bamboo? And do they eat other things
too?

because there kind of like vegetarians. And bamboo is a special plant to
the pandas diet.A giant pandas diet is 99%bamboo, that is a estimated to 3,500

How long where panda’s 
here?

Giant pandas were here in the world for over 12 million years.
And the oldest panda known by scientist is the ‘’
Ailuropoda melanoleuca.’’This ancient panda lived 2-3 million years ago! But how
ancient this panda is, it shows the same passion for bamboo. .
But for a more recent   giant
panda, this panda  was  living less
than a million  years ago,  it was
bigger than the normal  giant 
panda we have here on earth today.
